Arriving in 1984 after the Eagles’ split, the album confirmed Henley as a major solo force, led by the iconic hit The Boys Of Summer and the dance-floor satire All She Wants To Do Is Dance. Produced with a sleek mid-80s sheen but anchored by strong songwriting and clear-eyed social detail, it became one of the defining rock records of its decade.
