    About this album

Disco Tex & The Sex-O-Lettes Review is a gleefully over-the-top disco-funk set that helped define the genre’s early party-ready sound. Released in 1975, the album is best known for the hit “Get Dancin’,” a celebratory single that brought Disco Tex and frontman Sir Monti Rock III into the mainstream with its camp energy, call-and-response hooks and relentless dance-floor momentum. Blending funk rhythms, studio polish and novelty-showmanship, the record sits at the crossroads of club culture and pop spectacle, making it one of the more flamboyant statements from disco’s first wave.
