David Bowie – Hunky Dory (G+/VG) – LP, CA

Hunky Dory is an LP by David Bowie released on the RCA Victor label.

About this album

Hunky Dory is David Bowie’s elegant breakthrough and one of the key albums that established him as a major songwriter. Issued in 1971, it blends art rock, pop invention and theatrical flair with remarkable confidence, and helped set up the creative leap that followed with The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Songs such as Changes, Oh! You Pretty Things and Life On Mars? show Bowie sharpening his lyrical wit and melodic instinct while widening his range as a performer. The result is a richly varied album that remains central to his early legacy and to glam-era British pop.
