This Is My Planet is an LP by Dave Warner from 1981 released on the Mercury label.

About this album

This Is My Planet is a sharp, satirical rock album that shows Dave Warner combining wry observation with brisk new-wave energy. Released in 1981, it follows his work with Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs and finds him turning everyday scenes, travel, identity and social comment into tightly written songs. The record moves between humour and bite, with its Australian perspective giving the material a distinct voice within early-80s rock. Warner’s knack for character, wordplay and pointed storytelling makes the album more than a period piece: it remains a smart example of local rock writing with personality and purpose.
