Private Eyes is an LP by Daryl Hall & John Oates from 1982 released on the RCA label.

About this album

Private Eyes is one of Daryl Hall & John Oates’ sharpest pop statements, tightening their blend of blue-eyed soul, funk and rock into a run of lean, radio-ready songs. Released in 1981, the album built on the duo’s late-’70s breakthrough and helped confirm them as defining hitmakers of the MTV era. The title track and I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do) became signature singles, the latter reaching No. 1 in the US and helping push the pair’s sleek, groove-led style to a wider audience. Its polished songwriting and irresistible choruses make the record a key moment in early-’80s pop crossover.
