Daniel Lopatin – Uncut Gems (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (E/VG+) – 2xLP, UK 2019

Uncut Gems (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is an LP by Daniel Lopatin from 2019 released on the Warp Records label.

About this album

Daniel Lopatin’s Uncut Gems soundtrack is a propulsive, nerve-jangling score that became inseparable from the Safdie brothers’ film. Built from electronic textures, ambient drift and synth-driven tension, it mirrors Howard Ratner’s escalating pressure with relentless momentum and flashes of haunting calm. Lopatin’s music helps define the movie’s breathless pace and urban anxiety, making the score far more than background accompaniment. Released in 2019, it stands as one of the most distinctive modern film soundtracks of its era, praised for translating psychological stress into a sharply controlled musical language.
