Its mix of originals and tautly reworked covers produced some of CCR’s best-known material, including Lookin’ Out My Back Door, Who’ll Stop the Rain and Up Around the Bend. Widely regarded as a high point in the group’s catalogue, the album helped cement their reputation as one of the most consistent and commercially successful bands of the era.
