    About this album

Built On Glass is the breakthrough album that turned Chet Faker into one of Australia’s most distinctive electronic artists. Released in 2014, it blends downtempo beats, leftfield production and smoky soul-pop into a polished, emotionally direct statement. The record draws on the success of earlier singles such as “Talk Is Cheap” while expanding his sound with sharper hooks and warmer melodic detail, making a strong case for Nick Murphy as both producer and vocalist. Its crossover appeal helped bring alternative electronic music to a wider audience and established the album as the key document of Chet Faker’s early rise.
