    Buckingham Nicks is a striking pre-Fleetwood Mac statement that showed Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks already working with rare melodic chemistry. Their only album as a duo, released in 1973, blends folk-leaning pop rock, close harmonies and sharp guitar work into a record that won little commercial traction at the time but became far more important in hindsight. Recorded before the pair joined Fleetwood Mac, it features early versions of the sound and songwriting instincts that would soon reshape mainstream rock, with songs such as Crystal and Frozen Love hinting at the success to come. Today it is widely regarded as a key cult album of the era.
