Live Bullet is the live album that turned Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band into major rock contenders. Recorded in 1975 at Detroit’s Cobo Hall and released in 1976, it captures a hard-working Midwestern band at full throttle, mixing road-tested originals with charged-up covers. The set gave wider reach to songs such as Turn the Page, Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man and Heavy Music, and showed why Seger’s voice and storytelling connected so strongly with arena audiences. Its success helped establish him as one of American rock’s most durable everyman figures and remains a landmark of 1970s live rock.
