Frank Black's Teenager Of The Year: Live captures the closing night of his 2025 anniversary tour at the London Palladium, marking 30 years since the 1994 release of his second solo album. That original record has long stood as a key statement in Black's post-Pixies catalogue, and this set documents him returning to it in full, in sequence, with the kind of restless range that made it so distinctive in the first place.

Rather than treating the album as a museum piece, the performance leans into its contrasts: melodic indie rock, oddball humour, sharp turns in arrangement, and the slightly off-centre songwriting that made tracks like Headache, Calistan and Speedy Marie fan favourites. The live band includes Eric Drew Feldman, Lyle Workman and Nick Vincent, all of whom were part of the original Teenager Of The Year story, which gives this reunion added weight without sanding off the music's angular energy.

The set is also expanded with five songs from Black's self-titled solo debut, including Los Angeles and I Heard Ramona Sing, so it works as more than a straight album run-through. With previously unreleased audio, exclusive new artwork and a complete document of the tour's final show, this is a strong way of hearing one of Frank Black's most ambitious solo records brought back to the stage.
