Bill Wyman – Bill Wyman (VG+/VG+) – LP, AU 1982

Bill Wyman is an LP by Bill Wyman from 1982 released on the A&M Records, Ripple Records label.

About this album

Bill Wyman is a sharp, characterful solo album that shows the Rolling Stones bassist stepping out with a sly pop sensibility and a taste for modern studio textures. Issued in 1982, it blends pop rock and synth-pop into a lean, hook-driven set that reflects both Wyman’s instinct for melody and his dry sense of humour. Best known as one of rock’s most dependable bass players, he proved here that he could also front a record with personality and authority. The album’s profile was lifted by the novelty hit (Si Si) Je Suis Un Rock Star, which became his best-known solo song and a memorable early-’80s calling card.
