    Devotion is the album that helped establish Beach House as one of dream pop’s defining modern acts. Released in 2008, it sharpened the duo’s hazy, intimate sound into something more assured and emotionally direct, with Victoria Legrand’s low, enveloping vocals and Alex Scally’s shimmering guitar lines set against restrained rhythm and keyboard textures.
