With twelve songs that oscillate between classic rock, indie and Americana - Ballgame shows how great voices and strong melodies can move hearts and open horizons. The first single I Believe in Love, an anthemic mix of Lennon and Orbison, is now available with a video - filmed by close friends in Ballgame's shared flat. Created at the kitchen table and inspired by the advice of his producer Jonathan Rado ("Write the greatest song in the world"), it became an ode to love itself - and to the fools it makes. Produced by Jonathan Rado (Foxygen, Weyes Blood, Miley Cyrus) and Ryan Pollie (Los Angeles Police Department), the album brings back analog warmth, acoustic energy and lush harmonies - with support from Amy Aileen Wood (Fiona Apple) on drums and Wayne Whitaker on bass.
Ballgame's path to this point was anything but straightforward: from a basement in New England to cover band gigs in Rhode Island to a bold new start in Los Angeles. Openness, risk and self-belief characterize his songs - and become a big stage live.
