Pom Pom is an LP by Ariel Pink from 2023 released on the 4AD label.
About this album
Pom Pom is a sprawling, defiantly eccentric statement from Ariel Pink, balancing catchy indie pop instincts with art-rock detours and psychedelic weirdness. Issued in 2014, the album came after his earlier cult success and sharpened his reputation for turning damaged melody, lo-fi texture and warped humour into something unexpectedly memorable. Built around songs such as Put Your Number In My Phone and White Freckles, it moves between sweetness and abrasion without losing its sense of melody. Pom Pom helped confirm Ariel Pink as one of indie rock’s most idiosyncratic songwriters, capable of making outsider pop feel oddly immediate.
