    Among The Living is Anthrax’s breakthrough thrash-metal statement, a fast, sharply written album that helped define the genre’s late-1980s peak. Released in 1987, it showed the New York band refining their mix of speed, humour and mosh-ready aggression without losing the punk edge that set them apart from their peers. Built around tight riffing, gang vocals and Scott Ian and Dan Spitz’s relentless guitar work, the record includes fan favourites such as Caught in a Mosh and Indians, songs that became central to Anthrax’s live reputation.
