Quebec duo Angine de Poitrine have quickly built a reputation for their wildly distinctive take on psychedelic math rock, blending driving rhythms, microtonal guitars and a surreal sense of scale into something both hypnotic and strange. Their KEXP session helped push them to a much wider audience, while sold-out shows, festival appearances and fast-rising demand have confirmed them as one of the more unusual breakout acts in recent rock.

On II, the Poitrine brothers push their sound further with a record that feels tighter, more direct and more energetic, while still full of odd turns and unexpected detail.
