About this album

21 is the breakthrough album that turned Adele into a global superstar and set a new standard for emotionally direct pop. Released in 2011, it expanded the piano-led intimacy of her debut into a bigger, darker sound that drew on soul, blues and classic torch-song drama. Working with producers including Paul Epworth and Rick Rubin, Adele delivered towering performances on “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You”, songs that became worldwide signatures. The album topped charts around the world, won multiple Grammy Awards and spent weeks at number one, confirming her as one of the defining voices of 21st-century pop.
