Kings Of The Wild Frontier is the album that turned Adam And The Ants into one of Britain’s most distinctive pop phenomena. Issued in 1980, it sharpened the group’s post-punk edge into something bigger, bolder and more theatrical, driven by tribal drumming, wiry guitar lines and Adam Ant’s charismatic frontman persona. Produced by Chris Hughes and Adam Ant, the album yielded breakthrough singles including Dog Eat Dog and Antmusic, helping define the band’s image and sound in the early new wave era. Its blend of art-school provocation, pop hooks and defiant style made it a landmark of early 1980s British music.
