Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is AC/DC at their most sly, heavy and irresistible, sharpening the blues-rock brute force of their early sound into a tougher hard rock statement. Released in 1976, the album helped cement Bon Scott’s role as one of rock’s great provocateurs, with bawdy humour, streetwise storytelling and a voice full of swagger. Anchored by the title track and fan favourites such as Problem Child and Ride On, it shows the band balancing raw menace with memorable hooks. The record became a key part of AC/DC’s rise and remains one of their defining early albums.
