About this album

10cc’s The Original Soundtrack is a sharp, inventive art-rock statement that also delivered one of the decade’s great singles, ‘I’m Not In Love’. Released in 1975, it shows the band balancing studio trickery, melodic polish and sly humour with unusual confidence. Built by the classic 10cc line-up and drawn together with a filmic sense of sequence, the album ranges from the satirical edge of ‘Blackmail’ to the sprawling, off-kilter arrangements that became the group’s hallmark. Its blend of pop accessibility and experimental detail helped make 10cc one of the most distinctive British bands of the era.
