Pre-ordering is a great way to secure upcoming releases before they hit the shelves. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works in our store:
1. What is a Pre-Order?
A pre-order lets you reserve a record before it’s officially released. We ship it to you as soon as it becomes available—often on or just after the release date.
2. Shipping In-Stock Items with Pre-Orders
If you order in-stock items along with a pre-order, we’ll wait until everything is ready before we ship your order. This helps us keep shipping costs fair and reduces unnecessary packaging. If you’d like your in-stock items sooner, we recommend placing a separate order.
3. Release Dates Can Change
Release dates are set by the label or distributor and can shift unexpectedly. We don’t send out email updates for changes, but we always keep the latest information on our product pages—just check back any time for updates.
4. When will we send you the pre-order
Many of our titles are shipped to us from overseas and many suppliers will only ship pre-orders a few days before release. We also have different order cycles with all our international and local suppliers. In short, we will try and get your pre-orders as close to the release date as possible but please be aware there could be a delay which in the worst case could be up to 4 weeks.
5. Pre-Order Price Guarantee
If the price of a pre-order drops before its release, don’t worry—we’ve got your back. We’ll automatically refund you the difference shortly after the record ships.
