Ziggy Marley And The Melody Makers

Ziggy Marley And The Melody Makers is a reggae band founded in 1979 by Bob Marley's son Ziggy Marley, his sisters Cedella and Sharon Marley, and his brother Stephen Marley. They released their first album, Play the Game Right, in 1985, which was well-received and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album.

The group's most successful album was the 1988 release Conscious Party, which won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album and featured hit singles such as "Tomorrow People" and "Tumblin' Down". Other notable albums include One Bright Day (1989), Jahmekya (1991), Joy and Blues (1993), Free Like We Want 2 B (1995) and Fallen is Babylon (1997).

Some of the group's standout songs include "Look Who's Dancing" (1989), "One Bright Day" (1989), "People Get Ready" (1991), "Love Is My Religion" (2006), and "Ama-La" (2008).

An interesting fact about Ziggy Marley And The Melody Makers is that they were the first reggae group to perform on MTV. They were also the first Jamaican group to win a Grammy Award.
