Yellow Magic Orchestra Vinyl Records

Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) is a Japanese electronic music group formed in Tokyo in 1978. The group is considered to be one of the most influential Japanese acts in the history of popular music. The group is composed of Ryuichi Sakamoto (keyboards, vocals), Haruomi Hosono (bass, vocals) and Yukihiro Takahashi (drums, vocals).

YMO's music was heavily influenced by American funk, soul and disco music, but was also known for pioneering the use of synthesizers and drum machines. Their most popular albums include the 1978 self-titled debut album, Solid State Survivor (1979), Technodelic (1981) and BGM (1981).

Some of YMO's most popular songs include "Rydeen", "Tong Poo", "Behind the Mask" and "Computer Game".

An interesting fact about YMO is that they were the first Asian artists to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 1981.
