Yeah Yeah Yeahs is an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000. The band consists of lead vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase.

The band's debut album, Fever to Tell, released in 2003, was critically acclaimed and included the hit singles "Maps" and "Date with the Night". The album was certified gold in the United States and the United Kingdom. The follow-up, Show Your Bones (2006), was praised by critics and earned the band their first Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album.

In 2009, the band released their third album, It's Blitz!, which was widely acclaimed and featured the singles "Zero" and "Heads Will Roll". It was their first album to reach the top 10 in the US, peaking at number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In 2013, the band released their fourth album, Mosquito, which included the singles "Sacrilege" and "Despair". The album was well-received and earned the band their second Grammy nomination.

An interesting fact about the band is that they were the first band to perform on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
