Waxahatchee is an American indie rock band from Alabama, founded by singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield in 2011. The band has released four studio albums to date: American Weekend (2012), Cerulean Salt (2013), Ivy Tripp (2015), and Out in the Storm (2017).

Their standout albums include American Weekend and Cerulean Salt, which were both critically acclaimed. Some of their standout songs include “Peace and Quiet”, “Tangled Envisioning”, “Coast to Coast”, and “Never Been Wrong”.

An interesting fact about Waxahatchee is that the band name is derived from a creek near Crutchfield's family home in Alabama.
