Wallenstein Vinyl Records

Wallenstein was a German Krautrock band formed in 1971 in Munich. They were one of the pioneers of the progressive rock genre, and were strongly influenced by psychedelic rock and classical music. The band was composed of two core members, keyboardist/singer Dieter Serfas and guitarist/bassist/singer Ulli Gass.

Their two most acclaimed albums are Mother Universe (1973) and Brain Damage (1974). Mother Universe is considered a classic of the genre, featuring the single "Gloria", which was a big hit in Germany. Brain Damage is a concept album about the dangers of drugs, and was even banned in some countries due to its controversial lyrics.

Some of the band's most popular songs include "Gloria", "The End of The Day", "On The Run", "Brain Damage", and "Children of Tomorrow".

An interesting fact about Wallenstein is that they were one of the few German bands to play at the legendary Rockpalast festival in 1976.
