Victoria de los Angeles Vinyl Records

Victoria de los Angeles (1923-2005) was a Spanish soprano opera singer. She was born in Barcelona and studied singing at the Conservatori Liceu. She made her professional debut in 1944 and was praised for her beautiful, lyrical voice.

Throughout her career, she performed at various opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York and La Scala in Milan. She recorded a wide variety of operas, including Mozart's Don Giovanni, Rossini's The Barber of Seville, and Bizet's Carmen.

She also made several recordings of Spanish songs, including traditional folk songs, as well as more modern compositions by Spanish composers. Her albums Victoria de los Angeles Sings Spanish Songs and Victoria de los Angeles Sings Spanish Sacred Music are particularly noteworthy.

One of her most famous songs is "Aranjuez Mon Amour," which was composed by Joaquín Rodrigo.

An interesting fact about Victoria de los Angeles is that she was a lifelong vegetarian and animal rights activist. She was a founding member of the Spanish Animal Protection Society.
