UFO is a British rock band formed in 1969 by vocalist Phil Mogg, guitarist Mick Bolton, bassist Pete Way, and drummer Andy Parker. The band is considered one of the seminal hard rock bands of the 1970s and 80s, playing a style of music that mixed hard rock, progressive rock, and blues.

UFO's most successful albums are Force It (1975), Lights Out (1977), and Strangers in the Night (1979). Some of their most popular songs include "Doctor Doctor," "Rock Bottom," "Lights Out," "Too Hot to Handle," and "Love to Love."

An interesting fact about UFO is that they were the first band to be featured on MTV when the channel debuted in 1981. They performed their hit single "Doctor Doctor" on the show.
