Twisted Sister

Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band formed in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. The band is best known for its hit songs "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock", which have become anthems for the WWE.

Twisted Sister's first album was Under the Blade, released in 1982. The album was a success and featured hits such as "Destroyer" and "Tear it Loose". Their second album You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll was released in 1983 and featured the hit single "I Wanna Rock". Their third album Stay Hungry was released in 1984 and featured the hit single "We're Not Gonna Take It". The song became an anthem for the American youth, and was featured in the 1986 movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure.

In addition to their studio albums, Twisted Sister also released two live albums: Live at Hammersmith (1984) and Live at Wacken (2006).

An interesting fact about Twisted Sister is that they were originally a glam rock band in the early 1970s, but switched to a heavier sound in the 1980s.
