Tubeway Army Vinyl Records

Tubeway Army is an English rock band formed in London in 1977. The original lineup consisted of Gary Numan, Paul Gardiner, and Jess Lidyard. The band is best known for their 1979 hit single "Are Friends Electric?" and their album Replicas.

The band's first album was Tubeway Army, released in 1978, which included the hit single "Down in the Park". The follow-up album Replicas was released in 1979 and featured the hit single "Are Friends Electric?". The single reached number one on the UK Singles Chart, and was later covered by the Sugababes in 2005. The album also featured the songs "Me! I Disconnect From You", "Praying to the Aliens" and "Everyday I Die".

In 1980, Tubeway Army released their third album, The Pleasure Principle, which featured the single "Cars", which also reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. The album also featured the songs "Films", "Metal" and "Complex". The band's fourth and final album was Sacrifice, released in 1994, which featured the songs "Absolution", "Crazier" and "Miracles".

Tubeway Army is considered a pioneering act of the electronic and synth-pop genres, and their influence can be heard in the music of artists such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Nine Inch Nails and Gary Numan's solo career.

An interesting fact about Tubeway Army is that Gary Numan was the sole member of the band to appear on all of their albums.
