Toyah Vinyl Records

Toyah is an English new wave band formed in 1977 in Birmingham, England. The band was founded by singer Toyah Willcox and Joel Bogen, and originally featured bassist/guitarist and songwriter, Adrian Lee and drummer, Mark Henry.

Their standout albums include their 1981 debut, Toyah! Toyah! Toyah!, and their 1983 album, The Changeling. Notable songs include “It’s a Mystery”, “I Want to Be Free”, “Thunder in the Mountains”, “Brave New World”, and “Good Morning Universe”.

An interesting fact about the band is that their song “I Want To Be Free” was used as the opening theme for the British television show Grange Hill.
