TISM Vinyl Records

TISM (an acronym for "This Is Serious Mum") is an Australian band formed in Melbourne in 1982. Originally a six-piece group, the band members adopted pseudonyms such as "Jock Cheese" and "Ron Hitler-Barassi" and dressed in balaclavas and business suits. TISM's music is a mix of punk rock, alternative rock and electronic music. TISM's discography includes seven studio albums, two live albums and two compilations. Their most successful album is their second studio album Great Truckin' Songs of the Renaissance (1994). Other standout albums include Machiavelli and the Four Seasons (1998), De Rigeurmortis (2000) and www.tism.wanker.com (2001). Notable songs by TISM include "Greg! The Stop Sign!!", "Defecate on My Face", "Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me", and "Thunderbirds Are Coming Out". An interesting fact about TISM is that all of their songs are credited to a fictional composer, Humphrey B. Flaubert.
