Tina Brooks Vinyl Records

Tina Brooks (1932-1974) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist, composer and arranger who played with artists like Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Max Roach and Kenny Dorham. He is best known for his hard bop style and his work with the Blue Note label. His albums for Blue Note include True Blue, The Waiting Game, Minor Move, Back to the Tracks and his last album, Open House.

Some of Brooks's standout albums include True Blue, which featured the single "Good Old Soul," and Back to the Tracks, which featured the single "The Hub." Other standout songs include "Theme for Doris," "Minor Move" and "Gone with the Wind."

An interesting fact about Tina Brooks is that he was the first jazz musician to be signed to the Blue Note label. He was also a talented arranger and wrote several tunes for the label.
