Timbuk 3 Vinyl Records

Timbuk 3 is an American alternative rock duo from Austin, Texas, composed of husband-and-wife Pat and Barbara Kasmai. They are best known for their 1986 single "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades".

Timbuk 3 formed in 1985 when the Kasmai's moved from Madison, Wisconsin to Austin, Texas. Their first album, Greetings from Timbuk 3, was released in 1986 and featured the hit single "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades". The album also featured the minor hit "Life is Hard".

The duo's second album, Eden Alley, was released in 1988 and featured the hit single "Hailey's Comet". The album was followed by Big Shot in the Dark in 1989, featuring the single "Shame on You".

The Kasmai's released their fourth album, The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades, in 1991. The album featured the title track, as well as the singles "Shortwave" and "Lucky".

Timbuk 3 released their fifth album, A Hundred Lovers, in 1995. The album featured the singles "Ricochet" and "Big Time Operator". The Kasmai's last album, Big News 1, was released in 1996.

An interesting fact about Timbuk 3 is that the duo were the first musical guests to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman.
