The War On Drugs Vinyl Records
The War On Drugs is an American indie rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band was formed in 2005 by singer-songwriter Adam Granduciel, guitarist Kurt Vile and bassist Dave Hartley. They have released five studio albums to date, their most recent being A Deeper Understanding, which was released in 2017.
The War On Drugs' standout albums include their 2008 debut, Wagonwheel Blues, their 2011 album Slave Ambient, and their 2014 breakthrough album Lost in the Dream. Slave Ambient, in particular, received critical acclaim and is often considered to be the band's defining album.
The War On Drugs' most successful songs include "Red Eyes", "Under the Pressure", "Pain" and "Holding On".
An interesting fact about The War On Drugs is that they are often compared to the music of Bruce Springsteen, due to their melancholic sound and the band's use of synthesizers and saxophones.
