The Trammps Vinyl Records

The Trammps are an American funk and soul band that were active in the 1970s and 1980s. The group was formed in Philadelphia in 1972, and they are best known for their hit single "Disco Inferno". The group originally consisted of Jimmy Ellis, Earl Young, Norman Harris, Ron Baker and Ron Kersey.

The Trammps released their first album, The Legendary Zing Album, in 1975. The album featured the hit single "Disco Inferno", which reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. They also released the albums The Trammps (1977), Where the Happy People Go (1978), and Disco Inferno (1979). Other notable songs include "Hold Back the Night" (1975), "That's Where the Happy People Go" (1978), and "Disco Party" (1979).

An interesting fact about The Trammps is that they performed the title track of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack album, which was a huge success and featured other classic songs such as "Stayin' Alive" and "How Deep Is Your Love". The Trammps also appeared in the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever, performing their hit "Disco Inferno".
