The Tennessee Cut-Ups Vinyl Records

The Tennessee Cut-Ups is an American bluegrass band founded in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1976. The band was founded by banjoist and songwriter Alan "Pete" Kuykendall and mandolinist Jimmy Gaudreau. The group has released five studio albums, and has been praised for its traditional approach to bluegrass.

The Tennessee Cut-Ups' first album, "Let's Sing 'Em Again," was released in 1977 and featured the classic "Tennessee Cut-Ups" title track. The band's follow-up album, "Let's Sing 'Em Again, Vol. 2," was released in 1978 and included the single "Little Whitewashed Chimney," which was a minor hit on the country charts.

The band's most successful album was "Bluegrass for the People," released in 1981. The album featured some of the band's best-known songs, including "I'm Gonna Miss You, Sally," "Doin' My Time," and "My Old Kentucky Home." The album was a critical and commercial success, and earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.

In 1989, the Tennessee Cut-Ups released their fifth and final studio album, "Rockin' in the Country," which featured covers of classic country songs by the likes of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson.

An interesting fact about the Tennessee Cut-Ups is that their sound was heavily influenced by the traditional bluegrass sound of Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys. The band's members have all performed with Monroe at some point in their careers.
