The Teardrop Explodes Vinyl Records

The Teardrop Explodes were an English post-punk band that formed in Liverpool in 1978. The band's original lineup consisted of Julian Cope (vocals, guitar), Gary Dwyer (drums), Paul Simpson (bass), and Troy Tate (guitar). They released their debut album, Kilimanjaro, in 1980 and its success led to the group's appearances on television and radio.

Their standout albums include Kilimanjaro, Wilder, and Everybody Wants to Shag the Teardrop Explodes. Kilimanjaro included the hit singles "Reward" and "Treason," while Wilder featured the singles "Bouncing Babies," "Ha Ha I'm Drowning," and "Passionate Friend." Everybody Wants to Shag the Teardrop Explodes was their most commercially successful album, reaching #3 on the UK album charts and featuring the singles "When I Dream," "Reward," and "Suffocate."

An interesting fact about The Teardrop Explodes is that they were one of the first post-punk bands to incorporate elements of psychedelic rock into their sound, which helped to make them one of the most influential bands of the 1980s. They also had a huge influence on the emerging Britpop movement in the 1990s.
