The Sidekicks

The Sidekicks are an American punk rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2006. The original members of the band were Steve Ciolek, Matt Climer, Ryan Starinsky, and Toby Reif.

The Sidekicks' debut album, Weight of Air, was released in 2006, and their second album, So Long, Soggy Dog, was released in 2009. Their third album, Awkward Breeds, was released in 2011, and their fourth album, Runners in the Nerved World, was released in 2014.

The Sidekicks are best known for their songs “Woe Is Me”, “Can't Swim Can't Surf”, “Oh, Catherine”, and “A Million Hours”, which all appeared on their debut album. Other standout songs include “Lloyd”, “Bethlehem Steel”, “Like a Coin”, and “The Whale”, which all appeared on their second album.

An interesting fact about The Sidekicks is that they were originally named "The Dead Beat Hymns", but changed their name due to a copyright issue.
