The Power Station Vinyl Records

The Power Station is a supergroup formed in 1985 by former Chic members Bernard Edwards and Tony Thompson, along with singer Robert Palmer, guitarist Andy Taylor and guitarist John Taylor. The band's name was inspired by the studio of the same name where they recorded their debut album.

The Power Station's self-titled debut album was released in 1985 and was a huge success, going Platinum and spawning two top 10 hits - "Some Like It Hot" and "Get It On (Bang a Gong)". The album also featured the track "Communication", which was a hit for Palmer in 1986.

The band's second album, Living in Fear, was released in 1996 and featured the single "She Can Rock It".

The Power Station's most popular songs include "Some Like It Hot", "Get It On (Bang a Gong)", "Communication" and "She Can Rock It".

An interesting fact about The Power Station is that the band's logo was designed by Andy Taylor's sister-in-law, fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.
