The Postal Service Vinyl Records

The Postal Service is an American indie-electronic band formed in Seattle, Washington in 2001. The band consists of Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (of Dntel). The two had collaborated on a remix of a Death Cab for Cutie track, and decided to continue collaborating. The Postal Service released their debut album Give Up in 2003, which was met with critical acclaim and was certified platinum by the RIAA. The album spawned a number of popular singles, including "Such Great Heights" and "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight".

Their second and final album, We Will Become Silhouettes, was released in 2005. The album featured a darker, more experimental sound than their debut, but still received critical praise. Singles from the album included "We Will Become Silhouettes" and "Natural Anthem".

The Postal Service are also known for their cover of the classic track "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" by Phil Collins, which was featured on the soundtrack to the 2004 film, I, Robot.

An interesting fact about The Postal Service is that the band's members rarely ever collaborated in person. Instead, they traded tracks and ideas over the internet.
