The Outfield Vinyl Records

The Outfield is a British rock band that formed in 1984 in London. They are best known for their classic rock sound and their hit singles “Your Love” and “Say It Isn’t So”. The original members of the group were John Spinks (guitar and vocals), Alan Jackman (drums) and Tony Lewis (bass and vocals).

The Outfield released their debut album Play Deep in 1985, which spawned their two biggest hits, “Your Love” and “Say It Isn’t So”. The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold in the United States. The follow-up album, Bangin’ (1987), also achieved Gold status and peaked at #31 on the Billboard 200. Their third album, Voices of Babylon (1989), was their highest charting album, reaching #24 on the Billboard 200.

The Outfield released a few more albums throughout the 1990s, but none of them achieved the success of their earlier releases. They disbanded in 1998 and reunited in 2003, but have not released any new music since then.

Some of their most popular songs include “Your Love”, “Say It Isn’t So”, “All the Love”, “No Surrender” and “Everytime You Cry”.

An interesting fact about The Outfield is that their hit single “Your Love” was sampled by rapper Jay-Z in his song “Girls, Girls, Girls”.
