The Members Vinyl Records

The Members are an English punk rock band from London, England. The band was formed in 1976 by lead singer/guitarist Nick Cash and bassist Chris Payne. The original lineup included saxophonist Adrian Lillywhite, guitarist Steve Morley and drummer Steve Wallace.

The Members released their debut album, The Choice Is Yours, in 1979. The album featured their biggest hit single, "The Sound of the Suburbs," which peaked at #5 on the UK Singles Chart. Other notable songs from the album include "Offshore Banking Business," "Radio," and "Working Girl."

The band's second album, 1980's At the Chelsea Nightclub, featured the single "Working Girl" as well as the title track. The album was a commercial success, charting in the UK Top 40.

The Members' third album, 1981's Going West, featured the single "Solitaire" and the title track. The album was the band's most successful, peaking at #18 in the UK Albums Chart.

The band released their fourth and final studio album, 1983's Uprhythm, Downbeat, which featured the singles "Going West" and "Be Brave."

An interesting fact about the Members is that their song "The Sound of the Suburbs" was featured on the soundtrack for the 1979 film Quadrophenia. The song was also covered by The Bangles in 1985.
