The Korgis Vinyl Records

The Korgis were an English new wave and pop rock band that formed in 1979. The band was made up of songwriters and vocalists James Warren and Andy Davis, who were former members of the 1970s progressive rock band Stackridge. The Korgis released three albums, The Korgis (1980), Dumb Waiters (1980) and This World’s for Everyone (1982).

The Korgis’ most popular single was “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime”, which was released in 1980 and reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart and number 18 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Other well-known songs by The Korgis include “If I Had You” and “Rover’s Return”.

An interesting fact about The Korgis is that they were one of the first bands to make music videos. In 1980, they released the video for their single “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime”, which was the first music video made by a British band.
