The Irish Rovers

The Irish Rovers are a Canadian-Irish folk music group founded in Toronto, Ontario in 1963. The original lineup featured George Millar, Wilcil McDowell, Jim Ferguson, and Joe Millar. They had their first hit in 1967 with the song "The Unicorn," which sold over 5 million copies.

The Irish Rovers have released over 25 albums over the course of their career, with their most successful albums being The Irish Rovers (1967), Songs from the Frolic House (1971), All Hung Up (1972), and Live at the Shamrock (1973). Some of their most popular songs include "The Unicorn," "The Black Velvet Band," "Wasn't That a Party," and "Drunken Sailor."

An interesting fact about The Irish Rovers is that they have been performing continuously for over 50 years, making them one of the longest-running bands in the world. They have also had the honor of performing for Queen Elizabeth II and the President of Ireland.
