The Fureys & Davey Arthur are an Irish folk band that was formed in 1978 by brothers Eddie, George and Finbar Furey and their long-time friend Davey Arthur. The band is best known for their classic hits such as “When You Were Sweet Sixteen”, “The Green Fields of France”, “The Old Man”, and “Red Rose Cafe”.

The Fureys & Davey Arthur have released numerous albums over the years including their most popular albums “The Best of The Fureys & Davey Arthur” (1990), “The Rose of Allendale” (1993) and “Spirit of the Glen” (2002).

One interesting fact about The Fureys & Davey Arthur is that the band has performed for British Royalty, the British Prime Minister and the President of Ireland. They have also been credited with helping to popularize Irish traditional music around the world.
