The group's second album, Shock Treatment, was released in 1974 and featured the hit single "River's Risin'". The album was a moderate success, reaching the Top 30 in the U.S. and the Top 10 in Canada. The group's third album, Jasmine Nightdreams, was released in 1975 and featured the single "Easy Street". The album was a minor hit in the U.S., reaching the Top 60.

The group's fourth album, The Edgar Winter Group with Rick Derringer, was released in 1976 and featured the single "Keep Playin' That Rock 'n' Roll". The album was a minor hit in the U.S., reaching the Top 60.

In the 1980s, the group released the albums Standing on Rock and Mission Earth. Both albums featured the single "Die for You".
