The Drones Vinyl Records

The Drones are an Australian rock band that formed in Perth in 1997. The original line-up consisted of vocalist/guitarist Gareth Liddiard, bassist Fiona Kitschin, and drummer Christian Strybosch. The band's sound is a unique blend of punk, blues, and psychedelia.

The Drones have released six studio albums, the most successful being Wait Long By the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By (2005), which peaked at number nine on the ARIA charts. Other standout albums include Gala Mill (2006), Havilah (2012), Feelin Kinda Free (2015) and their most recent, GALAFAVOURITES (2019).

The Drones are renowned for their intense and powerful live shows, often featuring guitarist Liddiard's manic energy and improvisations. Some of their most memorable songs include “Shark Fin Blues”, “Sixteen Straws”, “Jezebel”, “Nail It Down” and “How to See Through Fog”.

An interesting fact about The Drones is that they were one of the first Australian bands to tour Europe extensively, playing festivals and clubs across the continent. They have also played several sold out shows at London's prestigious 100 Club.
