The Crusaders Vinyl Records

The Crusaders were an American jazz-funk and soul-jazz group popular in the 1970s. Founded in 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma by brothers Joe Sample and Wilton Felder, the group combined elements of jazz, blues, soul, gospel, funk, and Latin music.

The Crusaders had a string of successful albums throughout the 1970s, including "Southern Comfort" (1971), "Free As The Wind" (1972), "Unsung Heroes" (1973), "Scratch" (1974), "Renaissance" (1975), "Those Southern Knights" (1976), and "Images" (1977). The group was also known for its hit singles, such as "Street Life" (1979) and "Smooth" (1980).

The Crusaders' standout albums include "The Crusaders 1" (1972), "The Crusaders 2" (1973), and "The Crusaders 3" (1974). These albums were all critically acclaimed and included some of their most popular songs, such as "Put It Where You Want It," "Lilies of the Nile," and "Chain Reaction."

An interesting fact about The Crusaders is that they are credited with influencing the development of jazz-funk and acid jazz, and their music has been sampled by numerous hip-hop and R&B artists.
